I decided to try and create my own scarification on my foot at home after creating something like this in our practical lesson. To create this I stuck down spaghetti and rice with mastix glue and covered it in layers of latex. Once it was completely dry, using a stipple sponge I dabbed a red concealer over it to take out the brightness which would have picked up under the foundation. I then covered the red with my skin colour concealer and foundation. I then decided to colour in the individual grains of rice with my screen face supra colour palette to make the scarification look tribal inspired.
This was a really fun and easy thing to create which I think looked great once it was finished. I think I may use this technique in one of my final shoots as it was really enjoyable to create.
